Things change. Since starting this little site I have almost completely replaced everything I own. So this is my current gear situation. I have tried to make you aware of which guitars are most signifigant and get played most often, along with anything that might be of note.

First thing's first. Yeah, I know this is a guitar case. But this case has been around the bend with me. It has carried almost every guitar I own, been to both coasts, was banged around in the back of vans, cars and trailers. I have watched it get tossed into the cargo area of many airplanes as well as seeing it fall 8 feet to a waiting baggage carousel. I have, in times when I had small luggage, used it for not only my guitar but some clothes too. I got it from my friend Michael Keith in 1996 and have used it faithfully ever since. Soon I must retire it, but it's going to be hard.

1996 Fender Telecaster-Black, mother of pearl binding....truely the most beautiful guitar I own. Only change is the Seymore Duncan Little '59 pickup in the bridge and black pickguard.

1967 Fender Telecaster- Natural finish, refinished before I bought it. "Texas Special" neck pickup, Seymour Duncan "Hot Lead" in the bridge, aftermarket bridge with individual saddles, purchased in '95. It is my main guitar and has been since I bought it.

Charvel Tele Copy- The finish is beautiful. I got this guitar so cheap I couldn't resist it. It has aftermarket pickups and a much more traditional neck than the factory one was. I added the black machine heads and changed the wiring to a master volume, plugging the extra pot's hole. Rumour has it that this guitar was used by Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac fame (the guy who wrote "Black Magic Woman").

Early 70s Gibson Les Paul-I found out that this guitar that I thought was a 1976 Deluxe is actually a 1969-1972 "Les Paul 58", an early reissue Les Paul that Gibson made in a limited run. Thanks to Steve and Jimmy Bowskill for their tireless research. It was refinished black by a previous owner. I added the Bigsby, chrome hardware and tulip machine heads. This is supposed to be for our Neil Young tribute band (ever seen Neil's "Old Black" Les Paul?) but it is just too cool sounding to save for just those gigs. Just awesome tone.

2003 Ibanez Artcore-This guitar has great tone and at an incredibly cheap price. I save this one for quieter gigs where bending is prohibited.

Early 80's Sigma "Jazz" copy-This is a few colours (from me being too lazy to completely refinish it) mostly deep burgundy, now equipped with two DiMarzio pickups and a Tokai fretless neck, three different knobs, pitted hardware and a terrible paint job, purchased in 1984 for $75 (even that was too much for this lump of plywood...sounds good now though)

Early 90's G&L L2000 4-string-The most awesome Hunter Green finish, completely stock, purchased from my friend Scott Apted over a ridiculous period of time making little payments until I reached the final price. This is my main bass and has been since 1999. If there is a picture of me playing bass since then, it is on this bass.

1984 Yamaha FJ-645 acoustic- Black/Cherry sunburst, gold hardware and saddle pickup added by me (a hack job, I might add), my first "good" acoustic purchased with the proceeds from my first VISA card and my diesel mechanic job in '85 (brand new) for $300...my hands were always too dirty to play it until I quit the job

1987 Fender Squire Stratocaster with many other mods- White finish (now very yellowish...can't figure out why...I can just imagine my lungs), Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder (neck), Bill Lawrence rail (middle...no longer available-if you see one, let me know), DiMarzio rail (bridge), custom made neck from the "Twelph Fret" in Toronto (that I hacked to fit...I'm a goof), purchased (nearly) new in 1987 from my friend Les Williams (who hated it) for $200

Amps

1966 Ampeg ReverbRocket- 18 honkin' watts of, well, something. The hippest tone...extensivey modded and maintained by Tortoise Blue...I got it for $400...it could use just a bit more power (like, oh, 50 watts!) used in tandem with.....

Fender Blues Junior-Purchased from Big Daddy G (Dave Glover) to complete my tone...mission accomplished.

David Eden 2X10 cab- A great Ebay find....I'm one step closer to my dream sound.

2004 Fender Prosonic guitar amp

2006 Baby Taylor Parlour Acoustic
(this is a great little guitar)

Homemade Stratocaster with Seymore Duncan Pickups

more gear to come as I get richer.....
